- Basic and special subjects in nuclear power (existing):
Nuclear reactions and radiation, nuclear-reactor theory, nuclear-reactor design engineering, fuel-cycle engineering, other) - Subjects in social studies and communication (Existing: required)
Courses in social responsibility and ethics for engineers - Subjects in nuclear safety, security and safeguards (Some new: required)
Nuclear safety engineering (existing), radiation biology and medicine (existing), global nuclear security (existing), practicum in response to severe accidents of nuclear reactors using simulators, practicum in forecasting of movement of radioactive materials in the environment, practicum in modeling of measures against nuclear terrorism, practicum in measurement and decontamination of radioactivity in Fukushima, etc. - Advanced international education courses (New: required)
International politics, international law, economics, philosophy, history, arts, culture, foreign languages (two), etc. - Training in Japan (about six months), overseas training (about one year) (New: required)
The objective of this program is to develop personnel who are not only experts in nuclear power but are also tough global leaders, combining a high level of knowledge with strong leadership skills. ( Deep specialization + broad social application skills ) |
